Adoption Awareness Week 2018

Like always, this year too SAKAR, celebrated the Adoption Awareness week from 14th to 20th November.  The week was filled with loads of activities which reiterated SAKAR’s commitment to the cause of children as well as their caretakers.

We at SAKAR believe that our children should get the best possible care and we strive to do just that. Only a healthy body and mind can give their best, so at SAKAR, we take utmost care for ensuring the physical as well as emotional well-being of the staff as well as the caretakers. In pursuance of this motto the Adoption Awareness Week also had eye check up by Dr.Kedar Nemivant as well as general physical check-up of the staff, breast cancer awareness for female staff by Dr. Veena Panat.

The week- long event saw visits by many people as well as organizations to SAKAR premises. However highlight of the Adoption Awareness Week this year was a one day fest for kids organized at Anant Bhalerao Vidyamandir, Chetnanagar, Aurangabad. The fun filled yet educative fest saw various kids related events like painting competition for kids. Various games were also organised for kids who thoroughly enjoyed participating in them.

 

Besides these fun events SAKAR had also organised various sessions in the event. There was a storytelling session by Leela Shinde, Arts and Crafts session by Pradnya Dongre and a very informative session by Shahaji Bhosle on Superstition?- Truth and Myths.

 

Around 200 kids from 9 children’s home from Aurangabad district participated in the event which was presided over by SAKAR President Dr. Savita Panat, CARA advisor Adv. Renuka Ghule was the Chief Guest while Mr. Suhas Sardeshmukh from Loksatta was the Special Guest.

 

The members of Child Welfare Committee, Aurangabad, graced the Concluding ceremony. Adv. Jyoti Patki presided over the event while Adv Manohar Banswal, Adv. Anita Shivurkar and Ashwini Lakhmale were the Guest of honor for the event.

 

 

The smiles on the faces of the kids is a motivation for us to give our best for these kids and we at SAKAR are commited to this cause!!
